Ella (Denise Laurel), the sole provider of her family, works as a caregiver of Mario (Ariel Rivera), a rich man who is battling dementia. Despite his mental illness, Mario becomes close with Ella because of her cheerful demeanor. The two eventually start their own family and get married. This, however, does not sit well with Mario’s relatives who are only after his wealth. Later, Ella’s world comes crumbling down when Mario meets his end. Wanting to give their children a better life, Ella fights for her right as the heiress of her deceased husband.
