Philip (Donny Pangilinan) hopes to get his estranged mother, Melba (Ana Abad Santos), to sign his emancipation papers as he travels to the Philippines. Upon arriving, Philip discovers that she lives in a dangerous neighborhood. Nevertheless, he asks his mother to sign the documents so that he could return to the US immediately. However, Melba refuses to abandon her responsibilities to her son. Unknown to Philip, a target has been planted on his back because of his status as a foreigner.
