Karen’s mother kicks her out of their home upon learning of the young woman’s unexpected pregnancy. Though lacking a proper education, Karen applies for a job in a salon to provide for her infant daughter, Angel. Struggling to balance her responsibilities with her child and at work, Karen agrees when one of the customers, Myla, offers to take care of Angel. However, Karen soon regrets her decision when Myla refuses to return Angel and even puts the child up for adoption. After a long search for Angel’s adoptive parents, Karen goes to great lengths just to reunite with her child.
