Carla has a normal and happy life until it starts to burst like a bubble when her grandmother dies and confesses that Carla’s family is still alive. Furthermore, Carla learns of a startling discovery: while having a normal mother, her father and siblings are all midgets. Overwhelmed by the truth, Carla struggles to accept her family and ultimately embrace the changes that it made to her identity.
