In a press conference on July 10, 2024, Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Camille Sue Mae L. Ting said that during the session of the Supreme Court En Banc on the same day, the Court:

in G.R. No. 274226, without giving due course to the petition and prayer for a temporary restraining order, required the respondents to file their comments within a non-extendible period of ten (10) days from notice.

A copy of the petition for certiorari and prohibition filed by Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura, Inc. (SINAG) et al., challenging the validity of Executive Order No. 62, s. 2024 may be accessed at the Public Pleadings Section of the Supreme Court website at: https://sc.judiciary.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Petition-G.R.-No.-274226.pdf.

Atty. Ting added that the following petitions will also be uploaded to the website:

G.R. No. 263934, filed by Kapatiran Party Alliance for the Common Good, and G.R. No. 272370, filed by Wilfredo M. Trinidad et al.

Both petitions seek to compel Congress to pass laws relating to political dynasties.

The petitions are currently pending before the Court.
