Seal Rescuer Denzil is showing full commitment as he runs into the ice-cold water to net the target seal. If we don’t catch him today, we might never get a second chance. The entanglement is dangerously tight and needs to come off before the seal suffocates or starves to death. It’s an old bundle of fishing line with little bits of coral growing on it. We are once again reminded that plastic takes decades and centuries to degrade. A bundle of fishing lines continues to kill marine animals many years after it’s been left behind in the ocean.
